We understand that finding a way to make a difference in someone’s life can sometimes seem difficult.
Impacting lives in the local and global community doesn’t have to be hard.
A great first step is to join us for Serve Saturday. The second Saturday of every month we distribute food from the Food Bank in the Cradock area of Portsmouth. We meet at 8:30am behind the Fire Station at 32 Prospect Parkway and we’re finished up by 11am every month. It’s a great way to serve our community with your whole family.
Another way to impact the local and global community is through giving. If you give your tithe or an offering to Point Harbor you are an integral part of missions both locally and globally. You are training pastors in Peru and Nicaragua. You are supporting a church plant in Peru, and much more.
Go on a Mission Trip
Each year we have opportunities for you to experience global missions first hand. We take trips to Nicaragua, Peru and the Dominican Republic. You could be working with children, construction or with a medical clinic.
El Sembrador, Peru
9,200 feet high in the Andes Mountains may not seem like a great place to plant a church, but the needs of the community in Andahuaylas are great and Pastor Francisco and his wife, Katarina, were eager to reach out to their community with the love of Christ. In 2016, Point Harbor founded El Sembrador and the church is filled with young families who are excited to praise, teach and share Jesus within the rich flavor of their local culture.
